Glaser Group was founded in 2019 by Maarten Glaser as a Costa del Sol real estate company. In 2025, we launched our holiday rental management division — a natural extension of what we were already doing for clients who kept asking the same question: “Now what do we do with it when we’re not here?”
Dutch by birth, Costa del Sol by choice. Maarten moved to Spain in 2017 and founded Glaser Group as a real-estate business in 2018. The rental-management division launched in 2025 — same hands-on operating philosophy, applied to short-term rental.
Why we started: the family kept getting asked the same question by friends and clients — who’s actually looking after the apartment when you’re not here? Most honest answers were “nobody we’d trust”. Glaser Holiday Rentals exists to be a different answer to that question.
Over time, a pattern emerged. Clients who’d bought through us kept coming back with the same next problem — their property needed to earn income between their own stays, but the rental managers they’d tried weren’t up to the job. Slow replies. Surprise fees. Reports that raised more questions than answers.
So in 2025 we launched Glaser Group’s rental management division — the service we wished existed for our own clients. GIPE (Gestor Intermediario de Patrimonio Edificado) and CEPI (Confédération Européenne des Professions Immobilières) accredited. Maarten speaks Dutch, English, Spanish and German — backed by a fully international team that looks after owners and guests end-to-end.

Based in Arroyo de la Miel Alhaurín el Grande totals 198 registered VUTs (Junta de Andalucía data) and about 1,277 bed-places. The operational mix is heavier on long-stay than coastal Costa del Sol — settled British and Northern European retirees on multi-month bookings — with a meaningful golf-traveller short-let layer adjacent to Lauro Golf, and selective cultural-stay short-let in the centro histórico.
Most coastal managers don't understand the Lauro Golf October-April peak that's specific to this town. Coastal short-let runs on June-September; Alhaurín el Grande runs differently. We list Lauro-adjacent stock on dedicated golf-traveller channels alongside Airbnb, Booking and VRBO. We list long-stay stock on Idealista and Fotocasa. And we read the comunidad minutes on every apartment building before recommending short-let — the April 2025 LPH amendment matters here.
The result: a service shaped around the actual Alhaurín el Grande mix, not a coastal template forced inland.
“The owner’s peace of mind. The guest’s good experience.
Both, every time.”
Six things that stay the same, at any size.
Every Alhaurín el Grande owner gets a senior team member as their direct contact. The settled-expat community here often has decades of informal arrangements; we know that conversation starts from the existing pattern, not from a generic onboarding script.
Alhaurín el Grande statements work differently from coastal short-let. Long-stay retiree rental income, Lauro Golf seasonal short-let, and centro cultural-stay weeks all read separately. Every line itemised. The October-April golf peak visible against the summer family-week layer.
Lauro Golf-adjacent properties typically suit golf-season short-let. Camino del Albur rural fincas typically suit long-stay rural retreat rental. La Capellanía hillside villas typically suit summer family-week short-let. We say which model fits your specific property — and we say no when the comunidad position or property condition doesn't work.
Alhaurín el Grande is opening for select owners — not 50 villas. The standard we run on the first onboarding is the standard we run on the fiftieth. That means every onboarding includes the upstream comunidad-status check (essential post-April 2025), DAFO on rural stock where applicable, and Lauro Golf channel routing on the right property type.
Lauro Golf-season guests on 2-4 week winter bookings expect a certain level. Centro cultural-stay travellers on weekend cultural-tourism stays expect another. Long-stay retirees on 3-month winter blocks expect a third. The standard scales with the booking length: in-person check-in everywhere, mid-stay services on long bookings, the local knowledge welcome guide in every welcome pack.
Junta de Andalucía VUT under Decreto 31/2024, NRUA registration through the Land Registry, annual N2 filing, comunidad-status documentation for centro apartments, DAFO and water-rights coordination for Camino del Albur fincas, SES.HOSPEDAJES traveller-reporting — we handle the inland paperwork end-to-end.
A close-knit, multilingual team. Real photos and names added as each member approves publication.
